The fall can be one of the best times of the year; You have Halloween, the best new TV, and we can’t forget about the ever-basic, yet undeniably irresistible Pumpkin Spice. I love the fall, but there’s one thing I know makes me groan about this season whenever I think about it: waking up early.
Let’s be honest with ourselves: We can shove as much caffeine into our bodies as we want, or go to sleep as early as possible, but when Daylight Savings Time starts to kick in and our alarms go off before the sun’s even awake, it’s torture every morning to get up and get going, whether it’s work, school, etc.
Once we finally get up, we still have to do our hair, put an outfit on, do our makeup etc. etc. etc. Now, some of us may find this fun, but as much as I love getting dressed up on a weekend, I relate to the ladies that would rather roll into wherever they’re going with sweatpants on and a messy bun and just call it “Homeless Chic”, or something like that. If you find yourself feeling like me, I’m here to help! Here are a few tips to help you shorten up your morning routine, and still look flawless.
Number One: Pick Out Your Outfit The Night Before
This is probably the oldest trick in the book, but it’s
absolutely an oldie but a goodie. All it will take is 15
minutes to pick out a cute outfit and lay it out, and it
saves you so much time from having to go through
your closet like a zombie the morning of and find
something. Plus, you’re much less likely to make the “I got dressed in the dark, so I thought this matched” mistake. Don’t worry, we’ve all been there.
Number Two: Comfy Doesn’t Have To Equal Frumpy!
One of the great things about fall is that there are soooooo many options to keep you both cute, and comfy this season. Say goodbye to walking around in those skin tight crop tops and high waisted shorts that feel worse with every bite of food, and hello to above the knee boots, big scarves, and adorable sweaters and jackets. Need some suggestions for ways to look cute and comfy? Maybe this adorable, Spot86 button down? Just an idea. 😉
Number Three: Find Versatile Products
We all have that friend that is just drowning in makeup products. Every morning they sit there swimming in different kinds of foundations, eye shadows, lip sticks, mascaras; you name it, they have five, at least. This can be fun when you’re getting glammed up for a night out, but you might not want to spend so much time every night. If this is the case for you, there are so many two birds-one stone products that can easily give you gorgeous lips and cheeks, and will save you some time, money and effort!
I really hope these tips help you out in your miserable, Pre-Starbucks morning endeavors. Have any tips that I missed? Comment below and let me know about them!
