You may think that denim after denim is so 80’s, but you must be mistaken. There are so many new ways to wear them other than the traditional jeans we grew up in. This season, denim is getting a makeover with ruffles, more saturated shades and boxy to slimming silhouettes. The wide-leg trend, as we discussed is still big, but high-waisted and carrot styles are also gracing the streets with their presence.
Move over jeans, hello Skirts and Jumpsuits
Yep, that’s right, these aren’t your mother’s jeans! Designers are catering to other staples in denim for the seasons to come. This includes: Dresses, skirts, jumpsuits and even tops. These looks look vintage with a new twist. Check out Off-White for some fresh denim takes on vintage washes.
Fringe, Tassels and Patchwork OH MY!
The accents on this year’s denim are over the the top, and we need to get used to it. Patchwork details and other embellishments are the new classic. Try styling these over the top statement pieces with a plain white or black top or bottom.
