It has come to our attention Calvin Klein’s advertisement promoting the brand’s newest “plus size” model. Let us be very clear, Spot86 is a brand for all women. The real women. If this is Calvin Klein’s idea of what plus size looks like, a size 4, then we at Spot86 are all plus size. The definition of “plus size” is “of a size larger than a normal range.” This is the United States of America, and we are thick. The average size of women in the United States ranges from 8-12. If plus size means larger than the “normal” range, Calvin Klein is completely out of touch with their market, American women. Female models in the U.S. average a size 0 or 2. We applaud many American brands for re-evaluating their size specifications when it comes to model casting, but reaching to sizes 4-6 is just not enough. Women come in all shapes and sizes, and we are all beautiful. Do not let these brands break you down and call you fat. Stay thick and stay healthy!
